My husband and I are creatures of habit. Everyday we wake up and go straight to the coffee machine. After slugging down a cup of coffee we either pop a piece of toast into the toaster or grab a yogurt out of the refrigerator. Unfortunately, it’s now too hot outside to be drinking hot coffee in the morning and sometimes we are in too much of a hurry to grab a yogurt before we run out the door.
The other day while I was at Walmart I found my solution to one of these problems. While in the store they were doing a demo of a new yogurt product. I like yogurt so I headed over. What I saw was a completely new type of yogurt! New Quaker® Real Medleys® Yogurt Cups don’t have to be refrigerated. They are a delicious blend of yogurt and multigrain granola with real fruit and crunchy nuts. I’ve got three words for you: Crunchy. Cool. Yum!
I watched as the person doing the demo stirred in cold milk to the dry ingredients. In just a few seconds the cup was filled with a tasty yogurt treat! Needless to say, I was totally impressed. I ended up buying one of each of the flavors to bring home for my husband and I to try. They have Strawberry Almond, Apple Cinnamon and Raspberry Pecan. I’m a big fan of the raspberry pecan myself.
Once my husband got home I showed him how it worked. He was pretty impressed too. We both liked that the yogurt was cool and creamy and the nuts and granola were crunchy. It makes for a great breakfast or a snack on the go because it’s satisfying and delicious.
Since trying Quaker Real Medleys Yogurt Cups, I’ve picked up 5 more cups to store in my cupboard at work. I’m a teacher and can buy a small container of milk any morning in the cafeteria so when I forget to eat my yogurt at home all I have to do is grab a cup of Quaker Real Medleys Yogurt Cups and head up to the cafeteria and buy a cold milk. It’s so convenient when my students have already arrived at school because while I’m helping them get their breakfast all I have to do is add cold milk, stir, and eat!
Now about that hot coffee problem. I’ve found a great way to make iced coffee at home with just a handful of ingredients and it takes just minutes. No more cold brewing for hours, pouring it into a pitcher, and waiting for it to get cold. Now my husband and I can have a delicious glass of iced coffee first thing in the morning along with our yogurt cups. It’s really the perfect summer breakfast combo!
Iced Coffee
Ingredients
- 8 oz. brewed coffee
- 6 ice cubes
- 1-2 teaspoons sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla optional
Instructions
- Brew the coffee and set aside.
- Place the ice cubes in a 16 oz. cup with a straw and lid. Add the sweetened condensed milk (I like 2 teaspoons but my husband only likes 1 teaspoon so add as much as you want for how sweet you'd like it).
- Pour the hot coffee over top of the ice cubes and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until combined.
- For a fancy iced coffee, add the cinnamon and vanilla and stir well.
- Put the lid on top, add a straw, and enjoy the iced coffee.

Those yogurt cups are perfect for school! Plus they are filling so I don’t snack all day.
