I've been on a beverage kick lately. Festive beverages are easy to make and fun to drink. Every weekend I've been trying a new one, just one, and enjoying it on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. This week I found Iced Cake flavored Vodka. I seriously think someone may have made this one just for me. Cake in liquid form? YUM!
When I started researching beverages I didn't have to go far to know I was making an iced cake martini. I found a lot of recipes using white chocolate liqueur and also some using different flavors of vodka so I just decided to wing it myself. I figured the base had to be the iced cake vodka along with half and half then I added in a touch of Irish Cream for sweetness and flavor. It ended up tasting pretty darn delicious and next year I may just stick a candle into one of these bad boys for my birthday!
Iced Cake Martini (a Hezzi-D original)
1 ½ oz. Iced Cake Vodka
1 ½ oz. half and half
½ oz. Irish Cream
Colored sprinkles
1. Pour the iced cake vodka, half and half, and Irish cream into a glass filled with ice. Allow to sit for 2-3 minutes to chill.
2. Meanwhile, poured colored sprinkled onto a shallow plate. Then put a few drops of the cake vodka on a plate and run the rim of a martini glass around in the vodka. Immediately press into the sprinkles, covering the rim.
3. Shake the iced cake martini and strain into the martini glass. Serve immediately.
