Looking for an easy to make weeknight meal? Sweet chili pork and broccoli bowls combine broccoli, cole slaw mix, and onions along with ground pork in a sweet and savory chili sauce that’s ready in just 15 minutes!

I am always looking for easy to make weeknight meals that aren’t going to keep me in the kitchen all evening. This usually means I’m looking at sheet pan suppers, easy skillet meals, or even meals made in the air fryer.
One cuisine that seems to be ready in under 30 minutes is Asian food. I can usually stir fry a protein and veggies in a tasty sauce and have them ready and on the table in no time.
When I want an easy noodle dish Chicken Ramen Stir Fry is my go to meal. For a heartier meal I love these Double Crunch Pork Chops served with rice and vegetables. When I want something packed with flavor I always make these amazing Banh Mi Meatballs with pickled vegetables.
While I love making fake out take out Beef and Broccoli with rice, sometimes I want a different sauce and more vegetables. This Sweet Chili Pork and Broccoli Bowl has plenty of cabbage, carrots, and onions in it along with broccoli and these sauce is both sweet and savory.

What is sweet chili sauce?
Sweet chili sauce is a popular sauce in Asian cooking that combines sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors. If you can’t find it in a store locally it’s pretty easy to make it yourself.
I like that these ground pork and broccoli bowls are so easy to make. Instead of using cabbage and carrots and shredding them yourself it uses cole slaw mix so all you have to do is dump in the bag saving both time and money.
These bowls also add in plenty of broccoli and onions and are served over top of rice. It takes between 20-30 minutes to make them from start to finish depending on your level of cooking skill.
Can I use different vegetables?
You can really use any vegetables you’d like. Try bell peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, or any other vegetable you enjoy. You can also use cabbage and carrots instead of the cole slaw mix but it will add to your prep time.

Ingredients:
- ground pork (you can also use ground beef or ground chicken)
- garlic powder
- chili powder
- salt and pepper
- broccoli florets
- green onions
- red onion (this is option but adds color and flavor)
- minced ginger (you can use ground ginger but fresh is better)
- cole slaw mix (or you can use shredded cabbage and carrots)
- sweet chili sauce
- soy sauce
- rice
To make this dish place a large skillet with 1 teaspoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground pork, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper and cook for 5-7 minutes or until it is no longer pink.
Add the broccoli and red onions to the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes. Stir in the white part of the green onions, cole slaw mix, and 2 tablespoons water. Cover and cook for 3 minutes.

Remove the lid and add the ginger, sweet chili sauce, and soy sauce. Mix well and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes. Serve over rice.
I really loved the flavors in these Sweet Chili Bowls. They are sweet and savory with a lot of added flavors from the vegetables.
The cole slaw added some crunch to the bowls as well. The different vegetables add color and flavor. While I enjoyed the ground pork in the bowls I’ve also had ground beef in them and enjoy that as well.
How do you store Sweet Chili Pork Bowls?
Store the leftovers in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave before serving.
I served the bowls over top of rice but you can serve it over top of quinoa or bulgar as well. Serve with egg rolls or won tons on the side.
