Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels are an easy to make snack recipe! Sweet and crunchy cinnamon pretzels are drizzled with white chocolate and make a great snack or homemade food gift.
One of the favorite snacks in our house is pretzels. My son could probably live off of pretzels and I really enjoy having flavored pretzels as a midday snack.Â
My friend from work has made these delicious spicy ranch pretzels in the past and they have become one of my favorite go to pretzel snacks. I probably make them once a month or so because they are so good.
But sometimes I like to have a sweet and salty snack and those aren’t easy to come by. That’s where these Easy Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels come in.
Ingredients:
- butter
- sugar
- cinnamon
- mini pretzel twists
- white chocolate
To Make the Pretzels:  Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. In a gallon size zip top baggie combine the melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Zip closed and shake well. Pour onto a sheet pan and bake for 20 minutes, stirring twice during baking.  Remove from oven and let cool.
To Drizzle with White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate.  Pour into a small zip top baggie, snip off the end, and drizzle over pretzels.
These cinnamon sugar pretzels are great because they only take a few minutes of hands on time to make.  You can drizzle them with the white chocolate or leave them as is.
I use butter in my recipe but I know that many people use vegetable oil in their recipes.  I like the richness of the butter but vegetable oil or even coconut oil can be substituted in its place.
How do I store the pretzels?
Pretzels need to be stored in an air tight container such as a zip top bag, a tin, or a plastic storage container. I usually just store mine in zip top baggies because its easier to keep them in my cupboard that way.
How long will these pretzels last?
If stored properly they will last 2-3 weeks.  That’s why it’s nice to make an entire bag of the pretzels because you can snack on them during the week, take them in your lunch, or just much on them whenever you get hungry.
Can I drizzle them with something besides white chocolate?
Of course you can. You can drizzle these with milk chocolate or dark chocolate. You could also melt peanut butter or butterscotch chips and drizzle those on top too!
How do you package these for gift giving?
I’ve given these out as holiday food gifts several times.  Putting them in a mini tin is a fun way to gift them. The most common way I gift them is in a cellophane bag that is tied with a ribbon. If you are worried about them going stale you can put them in a zip top baggie inside of cellophane that is tied with a ribbon. Another cute option is putting them in a mason jar then putting a bow on top of the lid.
If you are making these pretzels for a special occasion you can also feel free to use candy melts on top to go with your theme. Pink or blue can be used for a baby shower, red and green for Christmas, or orange and black for Halloween.
I haven’t put sprinkles on top of the chocolate but I’m sure you could also do that if you are looking for a fun way to add a pop of color to the pretzels. Use your child’s favorite color and put a few sprinkles on after drizzling with the chocolate.
