Have you heard of monster milkshakes?   Maybe you’ve heard them called Freak Shakes?   Whatever their name, these milkshake concoctions are definitely over the top.

I’ve made a few of these milkshakes before but this week I made something even more over the top than normal.  This week I’m bringing you the Peachy Keen Monster Milkshake.

This milkshake starts like a normal milkshake using milk, ice cream, vanilla, and peaches.  Then it adds in caramel sauce and crushed graham crackers.

Ingredients:

  • vanilla ice cream
  • milk
  • peaches
  • graham crackers
  • peach pie or cake
  • caramel sauce
  • whipped cream
  • cinnamon
  • powdered sugar
  • gold sprinkles

Combine caramel sauce and powdered sugar and rub around the outside rim of the milkshake glass.   Sprinkle with gold sprinkles and place in the freezer.

To make the milkshake combine the vanilla ice cream, milk, peaches, graham crackers, and caramel sauce in a blender.  Blend until smooth.

Pour the milkshake into the prepared glass.   Top the milkshake with whipped cream.

Carefully put a straw through the peach pie or peach cake and set on top of the milkshake glass.  Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with more gold sprinkles.  Add in a few whole graham crackers and a pair of straws.

After making the milkshake you pour it into a milkshake glass that is rimmed with a ton of thick caramel sauce and gold sprinkles.  You can really use any color sprinkles you want but I went for the gold ones.

The topping is what really makes it a monster.  I piled fresh whipped cream up high on top of the milkshake.   Then I stuck a straw down through my peach cake and set it on top of the glass.

I finished the milkshake up with more gold sprinkles, a ton of caramel drizzle, and a few whole graham crackers.  Then I added in a pair of straws so you can share with your favorite person.

Can I use frozen or canned peaches?

You can certainly use frozen peaches and they actually work really well in this milkshake.  Do not use canned peaches as they as limp and full of sugar.

Can I use a different flavor ice cream?

Yes!  Use whatever flavor you want but make sure it doesn’t overpower the peach in this recipe.   Good flavors would be cinnamon, peach, or brown sugar ice cream.

Can I use store bought pie or cake?

Sure.  I used my homemade Brown Sugar Cake with Peach Filling but you can simply pick up a pie or cake at the store.

Can I use a can of whipped cream?

You sure can.  I actually would have used a can but I didn’t have one so I whipped up my own cinnamon whipped cream to pile on top of this treat.

This milkshake is crazy good.  The actually milkshake tastes like a vanilla peach shake with bits of graham cracker and swirls of caramel in it.  It’s really yummy.

The toppings on this milkshake rock.  I would eat a bite of the cake then use the milkshake to wash it down.  It’s definitely a decadent summer treat!
